If you’re someone who’s sick and tired of having a training aid for every aspect of your swing then you may be in the right place. In this post, I’m going to be reviewing the IMPACT SNAP trainer (AKA the best full swing trainer of 2019).
Did I think it was worth picking up? The IMPACT SNAP trainer is one of the best that I’ve tried at working on more than one aspect of your swing. It’ll improve your wrist action, tempo, lag, and contact speed. Overall, I’d highly recommend getting it if you can afford it.
If that’s all the info you were looking for then great. If you want a more detailed review or you want to find out where the cheapest place to get one is, then continue reading.

My First Impressions
This is one of the weirder training aids on the market and at first, I had no idea what it was supposed to do.
It has won Golf Digest’s best full swing trainer award so I figured I’d better give it a try.
It’s designed to work on your wrist movement and increase your speed.
How Does It Work?
The big downside to it is that you can’t actually hit a ball with it but all you have to do is grip it normally and swing.
There’s a piece of metal inside that clicks when you’re in the right backswing position and again at the right impact spot.
The yellow ball on it is supposed to touch the bottom of your outside forearm.

Build Quality
I was really impressed with the quality and toughness of this trainer because I was used to the cheap plastic devices that are flooding the market.
It’s not something you have to worry about breaking (like the Swingyde trainer) and is something you could have pretty much forever.
I like that it’s also designed to improve more than one area of your swing. The first is the impact position of your hands and wrist and second is lag.
How Does It Compare To Others?
Some of the other trainers like the Swingyde and SKLZ tempo trainer are pretty good but they only work on one or a few aspects of your swing.
I like the IMPACT SNAP because it’ll work on more areas of your swing and you won’t need to carry around 5 different trainers.
It’ll help improve speed, wrist movement, impact, tempo, and your release.
Did It Improve My Game?
I always struggled with having the right amount of wrist hinge and being able to make solid contact.
It’s definitely helped my wrist movement which has produced more speed through the ball (AKA more distance).
Plus, I keep it in my office so I find myself practicing a lot more than before.
Pros
- It’ll work on more than one area of your swing.
- It’s allowed me to create more speed through the ball (especially with the driver).
- It’ll also help you improve your short game while pitching.
Cons
- The price point is getting a little bit on the high side.
- You can’t hit an actual ball while using it.
- The “correct” position at impact was a bit exaggerated for me.
The Breakdown
- Performance Score: 9
- Price Score: 7
- Quality Score: 9
- My Personal Score: 8.5
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Would it benefit a lower handicap player?
A. Probably not in terms of performance. It could be a good warm-up aid if you don’t have a range.
Q. Does it come with an instructional DVD?
A. No, but they have instructions on their website.
Q. Can it be used for right and left-handers?
A. They make separate products for that.
Should You Get It?
If you’re someone who has a tough time with wrist movement (like myself) or needs to learn how to keep your hands in front of the club at impact then this is something that could benefit you.
It’s a bit on the expensive side but I’ve had lessons that were much more that didn’t give me half the results that using this did. I’d recommend you try it and it can always be sent back if you don’t like it. Check the price here.
