If you’ve been looking for something that acts as a GPS and will also keep track of your stats, Arccos is probably the first option you heard of. In this post, I’m going to be reviewing the Arccos 360 system and talking about whether or not it’s worth picking up.
Long story short, I really like having the 360 and it’s been something I couldn’t imagine playing without. Even though it’s not perfect, it gives you so much data that you can use to improve your game. One of the main reasons I like the 360 so much is that it kind of takes away the need for a rangefinder or GPS. Other than having to have your phone in your front pocket and having to send the batteries in to be replaced, there weren’t many negatives to say about it. That’s why I’ll always play with mine and why I’d recommend picking one up.
If the choice was up to me now I’d get the newer Arccos Caddie system. I’m pretty sure they aren’t making the 360 anymore but that’s fine because the newer system is even better. If that’s all the info you were looking for then great. If you want a more detailed review of the system, be sure to watch the full video or blog post below.

Arccos 360 First Impressions
I wasn’t expecting a whole lot before trying this thing out, but if you don’t know, the 360 is a system that tracks all your rounds out on the course and collects all the data on your phone. It also has a built-in GPS so you can see the distance to the green and also hazards.
It comes with 13 sensors that you screw into your clubs and it pairs to your phone (Bluetooth). After you hit the ball, it’ll tell you how far your shot went and that’s been a super useful thing for my game. Most people don’t actually know how far they hit each of their clubs. They’ll just guess and most of the time it doesn’t turn out that great.
What does it track specifically?
- The percent of greens hit and where your misses were.
- Same thing for fairways.
- The distance of all your shots.
- One, two, and three-putts.
- Sand saves plus up and downs.
- Your average/longest drive.
It’ll calculate all the data after each round and also give you an average over the past 20 rounds. I found the data super helpful and it’s been able to help my game a lot. I don’t have to guess what club to hit anymore because I know the average distance for each of my clubs. Here’s a demo video:
It also calculates your handicap for driving, putting, approach, and chipping to see where your strengths and weaknesses are. It’s not the best for tracking putting distance, but that’s not a huge deal for me.
How Did The System Perform?
The new 360 is a lot smaller than the previous version which was awesome to see. Since it screws into your club, having something too bit would make things feel awkward. They’re smaller now and I didn’t really notice them during my round.
They were also pretty simple to pair to your phone, so there were no troubles there. The new version also has a longer battery life which was perfect, and it was a lot more reliable than before (you don’t have to stop and check if it’s working).
I noticed that it was quite a bit more accurate than before as well. It wasn’t perfect or anything like that but it was just as accurate as any other GPS or watch. You could select any part of the hole and it’ll tell you how far away it was.
The only downside was that you had to have your phone in your front pocket which I wasn’t the biggest fan of. It needs to be close to connect, and it was something that took a while to get used to. The newer Arccos system has a longer range if you also use the Arccos Link (extra cost). Overall, I love my 360 and couldn’t imagine playing without it.
Is It Easy To Use?
The short answer is yes. It doesn’t take much technical know-how to set this thing up and use, but that being said, it probably wouldn’t be best if you’ve never used a computer (yes, there are still people who haven’t).
The most difficult thing would be editing shots if it doesn’t track properly, but after a few times, it becomes a breeze. The Arccos Caddie system is a lot more streamlined though and I found it didn’t glitch or mess up as much.
Is It Worth Upgrading?
If you’re looking for new features it probably won’t be worth your money upgrading (from the original Arccos system). The 360 system has most of the same features as the original but it’s much more reliable.
If you want a better and even more reliable device, you’ll want to upgrade to the latest Arccos Caddie system. I’m super glad I upgraded myself and I actually think you’ll have to go with the newer Arccos Caddie if you want one of these devices.
Pros
- It’s a great system that collects your data so you can improve your game.
- It replaces your rangefinder or GPS.
- It has a longer battery life than before.
Cons
- I wasn’t a fan of having your phone in your front pocket.
- You have to send the batteries in after 2 years to get them replaced.
- At the time of this post, the Android app isn’t ready.
The Breakdown
- Performance score: 10
- Price score: 8
- Durability score: 9
- Personal score: 9
My Final Thoughts
Overall, I absolutely love my Arccos sensors and I’d never play another round without them. It’s a no-brainer for me to have something like this because it gives all the data you need to improve your game. Just by knowing your misses, it can be a huge gamechanger.

It’s not the cheapest thing in the world, but if you golf a lot I think it’d be super helpful to have. Like I was saying before, you’ll most likely have to get the latest Arccos Caddie sensors because most places don’t carry the 360 anymore.
