Today, we’re going to be reviewing the CaddyTek EZ fold 3 and I’ll be sharing my honest thoughts after testing out this golf cart. I’ve tried and tested a lot of different pushcarts over the past little bit and most of the cheap ones have been complete garbage, so that being said, how did this one stack up to the rest?
Long story short, this is one of my favorite golf carts because it does pretty much everything you need it to do and it’s one of the cheapest options on the market. It’s not perfect or anything like that, but the only thing I didn’t like about it was the awkward foot brake (I’d prefer a handbrake). Other than that, I liked it because it was lightweight but still seemed to be well built (better than a lot of others). It rolled just as smoothly as the couple hundred dollar models, and my favorite thing was that it was super simple to set up and take down. Overall, I’d give it a thumbs up and recommend it.
If that’s all the info you were looking for then great. But if you want a more detailed review of this cart, be sure to watch the full video or blog post below!
CaddyTek EZ Fold 3 Review
CaddyTek EZ Fold First Impressions
I’ve tried quite a few different carts over the past little bit and some were A LOT better than others. The biggest reason I liked this cart was the fact that it was a lot cheaper than some of the other carts on the market.
Normally, when things are cheap it usually means they aren’t that well made, but that wasn’t true at all with this one.
The next thing I liked about it was the fact that it was easier to set up and take down compared to other options. Once you get the hang of setting up any of the other carts it seems pretty simple, but a lot of them are pretty confusing at first (for me anyway…). Just like the name says, it’s EZ to set up and fold.
All you really have to do is push the button on the wheel, turn the wheel, press the button on the handle, and push down. To set it up all you have to do is pull it apart.
What About Weight & Size
What I liked about the cart was that it’s made out of aluminum and that makes it super light. A lot of the time, super lightweight things don’t exactly last very long but for the amount of time we’ve had it, it seems to be holding up nicely.
It’s also a lot easier to fold down and is more compact than a lot of other models. It’s about 28″ x 16″ x 14″ and is pretty easy to store and lug around. It’ll easily fit in your trunk with your bag (and maybe even 2 bags).
How Did The Push Cart Perform
Overall, the performance of the cart was really solid and it’s exceeded my expectations. I didn’t have the highest hopes because it was a cheaper model, but so far so good.
All you can really ask for in a golf cart is something that’s well made, rolls smoothly, is easy to fold, and doesn’t break the bank. It pretty much checked all those boxes for me.
The wheels also seemed to be solid and they’re pretty big so they roll through the thick grass nicely. The only thing I didn’t like about the cart was the foot brake. It was kind of awkward at times and I’d definitely prefer a handbrake. Not a huge deal but it would be nice.
- It’s an inexpensive golf cart.
- Nice and lightweight BUT still well built.
- It’s easier to set up and fold down than a lot of other models.
- It rolls smoothly and is comfortable pushing around.
- The foot brake was a little awkward.
- Performance score: 10
- Price score: 9
- Durability score: 9
- Personal score: 9
My Final Thoughts
Overall, this is one of the TOP CARTS I’ve tested because of both the performance and the price. It did pretty much everything the more expensive carts could do and there’s really no reason to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars.
It’s not perfect by any means but it performed really well for me and it’s been super solid for the time we’ve had it. That’s why I’d give it a thumbs up and recommend it. Check the price on Amazon.
