Today, we’re going to be reviewing the Bushnell Tour V4 laser rangefinder and I’ll be sharing my honest thoughts after testing out this distance finder. I’ve tried and tested quite a few different devices like this, so that being said, how did the V4 stack up to the rest?
Long story short, at the time of this post the V4 is my favorite laser rangefinder. It’s not the cheapest option out there but it’s a high-end product from one of my favorite companies. I’ve been using Bushnell rangefinders for hunting for years and love their products. I’m not saying it was 100% perfect in terms of distance, but it was pretty darn close. Doesn’t matter if it’s a tree, creek, pond, bunker, or green, you’ll be able to see how far away it is. I found it fairly easy to use and lock in on targets, it comes with a carrying case to keep it safe, and it has a 2-year warranty on it. Overall, would give it a thumbs up and recommend it.

Bushnell V4 First Impressions
According to Bushnell, this rangefinder is accurate to within 1 yard and can read distances from 5 yards all the way to 1000 yards away. They say it has 5x magnification and is 30% smaller than the previous V3. It’s rainproof (not waterproof) and it comes with a 2-year warranty.
The thing I liked best about this rangefinder was the fact that it vibrated once you lock in on a target. With some distance finders out there, you never really know if you’ve locked in on the target, so it’s nice to know for sure with this.
It also comes in a slope edition, and basically what that does is it takes into account elevation when it gives a distance. If your shot is 180 yards away, but uphill, it’ll say it’s longer. It’ll do the opposite for downhill shots.

How Did The Rangefinder Perform
I’ve always been a Bushnell fan and they’re probably one of the most well-known rangefinder companies out there. I think the new JOLT technology (what makes it vibrate) is a big plus with this model and I think it’d help a lot of golfers with their distance control.
The V4 reads distances in both yards and meters, so it’ll work wherever you are, and I found it to be pretty accurate (I don’t know about +/- 1 yards but it was close).
The only thing was that it can be a bit tricky getting used to navigating through everything. Once you do it 2-3 times it’s not a problem though. Overall, the performance met my standards and I’ll give it a thumbs up.

Who It’s Best For/Not For
I’d say the V4 is only worth picking up if you plan on using it a lot. Yeah, it’ll help your game knowing the exact distance to targets, but if you only use it a couple of times per year, it’s probably not worth it.
It’s a high-end product with a higher-end price. There are cheaper options out there so if you don’t golf a lot, go with a cheaper model. If you’re going to use it a lot I’d say it’s well worth it.

- It’s more expensive than other models.
- Some people had a tough time getting used to it.
- Their customer service didn’t seem to be the best according to other people.

My Final Thoughts
Overall, I really liked the Bushnell V4 and would say it’s my favorite rangefinder at the time of writing this. It performed really well and I had no trouble with it. It seemed to be well made and it did the job it was designed to do.
It’s more expensive than some of the other models out there, but in my opinion, the benefits are worth it if you’re able to afford it and plan on using it a lot. It’s a thumbs up from me.
