Bag Boy Quad Hunter Golf Cart Review 2024 – An HONEST Opinion

In this post, I’m going to be reviewing the Bag Boy Quad Hunter golf buggy and sharing my honest thoughts after testing it out on the course. It’s priced to be a middle of the range electric cart, but that being said, how did it perform?

The Bag Boy Quad Hunter will be perfect if you want a cart that won’t break the bank but still has some advanced features. I personally liked the Bag Boy Navigator a little bit better since it has higher quality wheels, but it is a bit more expensive. Other than that, it was definitely a quality cart and was better than most in its price range.

The things we look at when testing an electric golf trolley is how much power it actually had, how long the battery lasted, how durable the frame was, and the price tag it had. If that’s all the info you needed then great, but continue reading if you want a more detailed review.

My First Impressions

Bag Boy is one of the most well-known golf cart companies out there right now so I had high expectations when I went out and gave it a test.

From what I could tell at first, the 4 wheels seemed to be really sturdy and it seemed really similar to the Navigator…

The only difference I could really see was that the Nav had slightly better wheels (more grip for wet conditions) and was a bit more expensive.

How Was The Quality?

Even though it was pretty light compared to others, it was still durable and sturdy enough in my opinion.

I found that the wheels weren’t as good as the Nav but they were still decent enough (probably not worth the extra $$).

There was a lot of plastic on the cart (to make it light I guess) which wasn’t ideal but as long as you take care of it and don’t toss it around, it should be fine.

Was It Easy To Use?

One of the things I liked about this cart was that it was pretty simple to set up and take down (quite a bit more than others on the market).

Taking it out of the car and setting it up takes about 10-15 seconds and you’re ready to go…

I wouldn’t say it’s as simple to use as some of the more basic carts but it was definitely a lot easier to maneuver than some of the more expensive models out there.

But now the big question…

How Did It Perform?

Just like the majority of carts on the market, the battery lasts a full round no problem (for whatever reason it’s 27-30 holes in our experience).

It also had plenty of power which was awesome and got up all the hills no problem (even fairly wet ones).

One of the other cool features to the cart was that it didn’t free fall down hills like some of the others which were perfect for the wetter courses in my area (it rains a lot here).

Something I noticed that could be improved was the strap that holds the bag. It wasn’t as tight as it should be (might have just been a defect or my bag size).

Overall though, it was pretty solid.

Pros

  • It was really easy to set up and takedown.
  • It’s light and easy to get around the course.
  • It has plenty of power to get up hills.
  • It comes with a good amount of storage.

Cons

  • The wheels weren’t quite as good as the Nav (in terms of grip).
  • It only lasted about 27 holes on a charge (why not 2 rounds).
  • It’s built with a lot of plastic.

The Breakdown

  • Performance Score: 9
  • Price Score: 7
  • Durability Score: 8
  • My Personal Score: 8

Frequently Asked Questions

A. About 3 hours.

Is It Worth It?

If you want a golf cart that won’t break the bank but still has some advanced features, this could be a great option for you. It was better than a lot of its competitors, in my opinion, and that’s why I’d give it a thumbs up.

I did like the Bag Boy Nav a little bit more because the wheels were a bit higher quality, but it’s probably not worth the extra money you have to pay for it (unless you have the dough for it).
