I\u2019ll be talking about the pros and cons of each, which is best for you, and the cheapest place to pick them up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In short, is the Garmin S60 premium worth the extra money?&nbsp;<strong>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/outofboundsgolf.co\/golf-gps\/garmin-approach-s60\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Garmin S60<\/a>&nbsp;is my favorite golf-specific watch and I would highly recommend it. The premium edition does have a few more non-golf features and is around $100 more. That being said, I probably would still go with the standard edition because the scratch-resistant face and the leather strap don\u2019t justify the higher price (in my opinion).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If that\u2019s all you were looking for then great. It&#039;ll give you an overhead map of the course, comes with touch targeting, has the plays like feature, and also will track your entire round. The Garmin S60 premium is around &#36;100 more and has all the same golf features. The first difference between them is that the premium version comes with a scratch-resistant ceramic bezel. The second difference is that the premium comes with a nice leather band where the regular has a silicone band. Both are great options but I decided to go with the standard edition myself because the extra cost wasn&#039;t worth it in my opinion. The standard has a polymer bezel while the premium has a&nbsp;<strong>scratch-resistant ceramic bezel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second is the watchband. The standard has a silicon band while the premium comes with a nicer&nbsp;<strong>leather band<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><a class=\"aawp-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B07237NH19?tag=gweek_end-20&amp;linkCode=ogi&amp;th=1&amp;psc=1\" title=\"Check the current price on Amazon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener sponsored\" data-aawp-product-id=\"B07237NH19\" data-aawp-product-title=\"Garmin Approach S60 Premium GPS Golf Watch with Touchscreen Display and Full Color CourseView Mapping Black w\/ Silicone Band\">Check the current price on Amazon<\/a>.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pros Of The S60<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>They both come with&nbsp;<strong>fitness<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>activity<\/strong>&nbsp;tracking.<\/li><li>My favorite feature was the&nbsp;<strong>shot<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>tracking<\/strong>&nbsp;which showed you your entire round after.<\/li><li>You can download different&nbsp;<strong>apps<\/strong>&nbsp;and different&nbsp;<strong>faces<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cons Of The S60<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>I don\u2019t find watches very\u00a0<strong>comfortable<\/strong>\u00a0(but that\u2019s more of a personal thing).<\/li><li>It would be nice for them to have a\u00a0<strong>heart<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>rate<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>monitor\u00a0<\/strong>(the\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"rank-math-link\" href=\"https:\/\/outofboundsgolf.co\/golf-gps\/garmin-approach-x40\/\" target=\"_blank\">Garmin X40<\/a>\u00a0does).<\/li><li>They are the most\u00a0<strong>expensive<\/strong>\u00a0golf-specific watches.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Frequently Asked Questions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Q. Are putts and chips tracked on the Garmin S60?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A. Putts aren\u2019t and chips around the green sometimes are and sometimes aren\u2019t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Q. Do you need to connect the S60 to a phone for the GPS to work?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A. No, it\u2019s a standalone device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Q. How many courses are on the Garmin S60 and where?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A. Over 40,000 from around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Q. Are there any Garmin watches that come with a heart rate monitor?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A. The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/outofboundsgolf.co\/golf-gps\/garmin-approach-x40\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Garmin Approach X40<\/a>&nbsp;does.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Q. What features does the S60 have that most cheaper watches don\u2019t?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A. Most don\u2019t have a touchscreen, no overhead course maps, and no plays like or touch targeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Q. Why is my Garmin S60 not recording my shots?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A. You probably have it on the wrong wrist. It needs to be on your head hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Which Would I Recommend?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Like I was saying before, the\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"rank-math-link\" href=\"https:\/\/outofboundsgolf.co\/golf-gps\/garmin-approach-s60\/\" target=\"_blank\">Garmin S60<\/a>\u00a0is\u00a0<strong>my favorite golf watch<\/strong>\u00a0and I would recommend it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are things that could be improved (<strong>more responsive and better battery life<\/strong>) but the features are the best out of any other golf watch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I don\u2019t see much of a reason to spend the extra money for the premium so I\u2019d&nbsp;<strong>go with the standard<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let me know your thoughts and any questions you have.
